A look into the resurgence of psychedelic medicine.
In the psychedelic community, it is a widely held belief that the halting of psychedelic research in the 60’s and 70’s was the worst medical censorship of the 21st century.
Now emerging from Nixon-era fear and stigma, psychiatry, mental health treatment, spiritual health and policy are converging at a critical meeting point. The mission of EXPANDED Modern Health is focused on destigmatizing, normalizing and making safe the use of psychedelic medicine in DC, Maryland and Virginia.
A central tenet to this mission is psychedelic psychoeducation. These curated studies on policy, substance use, depression, anxiety and more will continue to serve as a pulse on cutting edge research and will be updated as studies emerge.
